Haval Dargo is definitely a “Chinese” from the new school. Yes, it still has plenty of offensive flaws, but it captivates with its looks, as if it were tuned to the patterns of an SUV (which is almost rubbish for modern crossovers), and, as Kirill Mileshkin discovered in the latest issue of Za Rulem magazine, he has good habits! And yet – it has many interesting solutions.

And here’s what’s particularly interesting: Dargo strikes with the attention to detail you’d expect from a Skoda or a German premium, but not a Middle Kingdom car.

Here are the things we found both fun and damn useful:

Russian Haval Dargo: 5 Unexpected (and Useful!) Features

  • In addition to the traditional compartments, all four doors have caps. Thanks to the elastic bands, even 1.5 liter bottles can be placed. They prove to be neck and neck for the rider, which is especially valuable for the driver: it is easy and safe to take off.
  • There are stamps on the bottom of the center pillars. These are handles so that small children can climb into the cabin themselves. They will like to feel independent and mature.
  • Below the driver assistants is an avoidance system. She tries to drive the car away when someone from the adjacent lane is pressed. But – only within the queue, down to the markup. There is still no permission to rebuild yourself.
  • The USB ports on the lower tier of the center console are rotated 45 degrees from the driver and passenger. A trifle, but it is more convenient to use such a thing than “flat”.
  • Like new BMWs, Dargo can remember the last 50 meters of the track. If it is difficult for the driver to leave the parking lot, the car will do it itself and repeat the path in reverse.

And in general, the Russian version of Haval Dargo (which, by the way, shares the LEMON platform with Haval Jolion, which has already proven itself in Russia), left an impression worthy of at least attention.

That’s why your attention is drawn to a detailed test drive by Haval Dargo in the September issue of “Behind the Wheel” magazine. Now available!

  • And if you suddenly missed it: this car is produced in a Russian factory and is already on sale – the prices are mentioned.
  • “Driving” can now be viewed on RuTube.

The note was prepared on the basis of Kirill Mileshkin’s “Dargonaut” article.

The latest issues of the magazine are always available on marketplaces
