Experts from the consumer protection department of Roskachestvo told about the ways of fraud at gas stations.
Scammers drill a small hole in the fill hose or install a valve on the top. During refueling, air is sucked through it into the fuel.
The air column formed in the hose does not allow a few tens to hundreds of grams of fuel to get into the tank, which then passes back into the tank.
As an option – sometimes even “holes” are not necessary, at the very end of refueling, the worker twists or breaks the filling hose with a deft, imperceptible movement. This limits the amount of fuel that passes through and leaves little fuel in the hose.
