Driving is an area where the legislative framework changes particularly frequently. The last few months have been no exception – they gave motorists a slew of changes. Some are just about to take effect, others are already in full swing! The penalty in question also belongs to the latter, and it seems that this is only the case if changes are for the better. There would be enforcement!
The fines for disposing of trash from a vehicle went into effect on July 14. Previously, the Code of Administrative Violations generally regulated “garbage in the wrong place” (a fine of 3-5 thousand rubles), and now Article 8.2 has been supplemented with a new paragraph – specifically for vehicles.
In addition, bicycles are considered a vehicle and drivers, passengers, adults and infants are considered citizens. You will not be able to turn away. Dumping garbage from the car in the wrong place – a cigarette butt or a bag of garbage – is a fine of 10-15 thousand rubles. The amount is doubled for repeat offenders. An interesting nuance: if you want to litter at the rate “from 3 to 5 thousand”: get out of the car, use a scooter (instead of a bicycle) or walk.
In short, the law is not without quirks (what about, for example, the barbecue unloaded from the car at a picnic?), but the initiative is useful: in the end, it was the increased fines for seat belts that forced many to use them. Therefore, it is still worth following the law, as well as a civilized attitude to the environment!
