Chinese brands are conquering the Russian car market – this is the trend this year. On the one hand, this is sad, but on the other, the holy place should not be empty, and new models are actively entering the vacant niches. Some are very interesting! As early as the third quarter, the Chinese premium brand Hongqi should appear in Russia, whose range will be opened by the four-door H5. With a body length of 4988 mm, it can be considered a competitor of models such as the Toyota Camry and Mazda 6. Incidentally, the first generation H5 was based on the Mazda platform.
But the new car, which debuted this year, is already built on its own units. The Hongqi H5 has front-wheel drive and the powerplants are both traditional and hybrid.
We will hardly have a hybrid, but the rest of the range has a chance, and it is interesting: 1.5 (156 hp) and 2.0 (224 hp) turbocharged engines, assisted by a 7-speed robot and an 8-speed traps automatically, resp.
