Brand cars for the first time in 13 years lada became the best-selling in Moscow. The reason is simple: due to the shortage of foreign cars, their sales do not grow: European, American and Japanese cars are almost never imported into our country, and their factories in Russia are shut down, including South Korean manufacturers.
In July 2022, Moscow residents bought and registered 684 Ladas, Avtostat calculated. The second most popular were cars of the brand kia – 580 cars, and third place went to the Chinese Geely – 569 cars. Hyundai took only fourth place – 487 cars. Another Chinese brand, Chery, entered the top five with 474 cars sold by dealers.
Most often Muscovites bought Vestas – 393 cars. Second place for Geely coolray, which was chosen by 375 people. Third place – Chere tiggo 4 (217 vehicles). Rounding out the top five most popular models LADA Granta (179 pieces) and Haval Jolion (178 pieces).
In total, 5,078 new cars were purchased in Moscow in July, which is a 74% decrease compared to July last year.
