On the Brazilian market, this Hyundai is not called solaris, like ours, but HB20S. This is a very budget model – the first generation of our Solaris, which was recently updated. Not only the appearance has changed, but some systems and equipment have also been added.
The front of the sedan has a more prestigious appearance thanks to the angular air intakes in the bumper and the clear headlights. The taillights have also been redesigned to become LEDs with modern graphics, and a wide strip with integrated reflectors has appeared in the bumper.
The interior now features a new Supervision Cluster digital instrument panel, but only on the highest trim levels, as well as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The top also adds climate control, a rear view camera, two USB ports and wireless charging for a smartphone.
All HB20s now have six airbags and options include lane-keeping, cross-traffic warning while reversing and blind spot monitoring.
Such a car in Brazil is equipped with a modest 80 hp-litre engine. or a turbo version of the same volume, but with a power of 120 hp. The first engine is exclusively mated to a five-speed manual transmission and the second gives the choice between a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic.
The Hyundai HB20S costs in Brazil from about a million rubles in terms of our money.
