The American company DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) showed the public for the first time its Alpha5 electric car, the successor to the legendary DMC-12 model known from the Back to the Future trilogy. The model is built on a new electric platform created by ItalDesign in collaboration with the British company Williams Advanced Engineering. The length of the car is 5000 mm, width – 2040 mm, height – 1370 mm. The car received gull-wing doors, narrow LED headlights, large wheels with low-profile tires.
All technical data of the electric car are still kept secret. It is known that DeLorean Alpha5 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.99 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 km / h, and the cruising range is about 480 km. Serial production of the model will begin in 2023.
