According to the strategy, it is proposed to invest 2.7 trillion rubles in R&D and organizing the production of components for the automotive industry. The export of car products requires public investment of 500-600 billion rubles, the same amount is needed to stimulate the demand for Russian cars and the fleet renewal program.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to set up its own production of internal combustion engines, automatic transmissions, ABS systems, airbags and other key components and automotive components until 2035.
The agency also predicts (according to the base case) that in 2022, car sales in the country will reach 800 thousand units, in 2026 – 1.6-1.7 million, in 2035 – 1.9 million units.
The strategy states that it is necessary to ensure the technological sovereignty of the Russian automotive industry, create products with a high degree of localization (at least 80%), produce innovative vehicles – electric and hybrid cars, including hydrogen fuel cell cars, autonomous cars .
By 2030, the country should have 8.6 thousand slow charging stations for electric vehicles, 5.7 thousand fast charging stations and 200 hydrogen filling stations.
