Metropolitan blogger Anton Bazhin got a job as a night car driver in a company that serves the parking lot of Citydrive and Yandex Drive car sharing services. He talked about it on his YouTube channel. However, according to him, all winnings can be converted into fines.
As such, the steamer’s duties include a visual inspection of the rideshare vehicle for breakdowns and scratches. The car should also be taken to the car wash and then properly parked. For a car, an employee receives from 120 to 190 rubles.
Any damage to the car must be recorded in a special application. If this is not done, the employee will be fined. Also, if there is garbage in the washed car, the driver can be fined from 1 to 2 thousand rubles. That’s why the company recommends that employees clean their soles and bring rags with them before entering the salon.
The company “Citydrive” told the correspondent “socialbites.ca” that the services of companies that provide car sharing services to parks are no longer used and have nothing to do with the penalties in question.
“Previously at Citydrive we used the services of third-party companies that work with transport vehicles. We now manage all operational processes ourselves and car carriers collaborate directly with us as self-employed. Accordingly, the information regarding all working conditions and fines described is not related to us. Also, most of the ferries that cooperate with us came to us from just such companies,” explains Yulia Varlamova, PR Manager of Citydrive.
The press service of the car-sharing service “Yandex Drive” declined to comment on the contractors’ employees and the fines imposed on them.
