A self-cleaning job with curbs to drain water and melted snow is the development of Russian scientists, RIA Novosti told the press service of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).
“The team has developed a technical pavement and curbs that, due to their large porous structure, can be used to drain water and melted snow. Together with precipitation, dust, puddles and small dirt are removed.
Project leader Pavel Shapovalov noted that the elements of the road surface and infrastructure are made using injection molding technology in the workplace or industrially.
This technology is also suitable for the construction of parking lots, bicycle, sports and park paths, sidewalks and dike reinforcement.
The timely removal of precipitation from the road not only increases safety for motorists and pedestrians, but also reduces the dustiness of cities and reduces the destructive effect of water on the road when it freezes.
The new building was presented at the project-educational intensive “Archipel 2022”.
