Such an initiative in the Duma will be presented by the New People’s Party. They immediately go radically with noisy transport, reports the agency Moskva.
First of all, the initiators will propose to completely ban the use of direct exhaust systems. We are talking about those cars where no noise canceling equipment is used. It is proposed to give traffic police officers the right to handle such cars and motorcycles. The inspector can stop the troublemaker and measure the noise level – either with a special device or by referring the driver to the appropriate department.
The punishment for violators is also severely offered. The vehicle can be taken to the impound. And not for a few days, but immediately before the season. Another option is a fine. The initiators want to install it at the cost of 100 thousand rubles. Only such an amount, they say, can discourage motorists from making noise.
The proposals will be submitted to the State Duma for consideration in the autumn meeting. The same measures will be proposed to be taken both during the day and at night.
