AVTOVAZ dismantles equipment for production lada Vesta in Izhevsk and transport him 600 kilometers to Tolyatti.
The bad news is that the installation at the new location will take until March 2023.
But after that, the company will assemble up to 400,000 cars a year, TASS has learned.
The transfer of production to Togliatti has an economic advantage. In Izhevsk, the conveyor capacity was only 32 vehicles per hour. This rate of production is not enough to meet the demand of a market that can consume much more. In Togliatti it is possible to produce up to 60 cars per hour.
Workers at the Izhevsk plant will not sit still. They will assemble the electric Largus and also produce parts for Lada Vesta. In addition, several production facilities for spare parts and components will be opened on the territory of the plant, which will require experienced specialists.
