The registration and examination centers of the State Traffic Inspectorate began on August 6 in the Kherson region, and in the Zaporozhye region – on August 8.
“The procedures for exchanging driver’s licenses and registering vehicles have some quirks. So there is no obligation to pay state tax. But the exchange of driver’s licenses and Russian license plates is not a requirement. These capabilities are available only to those who wish to obtain Russian-style documents.
“Residents of the liberated areas of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions who do not have citizenship of the Russian Federation can obtain a temporary driver’s license and vehicle registration plates,” the traffic police said.
Residents of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions can consult in the open departments of the traffic police and get all the necessary clarifications. The National Traffic Inspectorate promises that each application will be assessed on an individual basis.
