Yesterday in Izhevsk, a replacement for Lada Vesta was presented, production of which is moving to Tolyatti. This is an electric Largus.
The definitive answer to the question of whether buyers need an electric station wagon can only be found in the price.
So how much can such a car cost, taking into account all the production costs?
Expert opinion
Maxim Kadakovyeditor-in-chief of the magazine “Behind the wheel”:
– There is no price, and until all the technical characteristics are known, all parameters are selected, a pool of suppliers is formed, it is difficult to calculate it. I think that if we talk about the current price order, AvtoVAZ will aim to keep e-Largus within 2.5 million – 3 million rubles. It’s expensive, but I’m talking about reality, not fantasy. And that’s just my guess. Taking into account the subsidies that the state can grant (925 thousand rubles), we reach the level of one and a half to two million rubles. Obviously, for such a price, the demand for these machines won’t be huge, but it will be.
It is clear that the base of the car components strongly influences the price. Now the difficult stage of finding suppliers is that in a year or two it will be difficult to locate everything needed for this machine, so some components will be bought in friendly countries: China, Turkey and the states of Southeast Asia . In the future, they plan to achieve 100% localization.
They want to produce Largus in Izhevs on a full cycle – with welding and painting this is quite a big and expensive job that will be done in a short time. The trial series of electric vehicles is due to be assembled next year.

When asked how much the plant in Izhevsk can produce e-Largus, the president of AVTOVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, answered that everything would depend on the market situation, demand, etc. Theoretically, thousands of such cars are ready to be produced there. If there is such a need.
