GAZ Group is preparing a new serial production bus, which will be produced at the Pavlovsk Bus Plant with the involvement of funds from the Industry Development Fund.
Citymax-9 is the first model of a new generation of buses of the GAZ Group, which in the future will include vehicles with a length of 9 to 19 m, a capacity of 70 to 200 people and will be produced in all bus factories of the company .
The novelty is built on a unified platform on which buses with different types of drive units will be produced. A diesel version will first appear, in the future the line will be expanded with gas and electric engines.
The Citymax-9 diesel and gas models will be equipped with the YaMZ-534 engine and the GAZ automatic transmission.
Citymax-9 is a mid-range bus with a length of 9 meters and a capacity for 77 passengers. It has the largest low floor area in its class (10 m²).
The novelty is also distinguished by a low entry level, a spacious storage area with lumbar support, specially equipped places for wheelchairs, an electric ramp and a “knee” system that allows the floor height to be lowered at stops (for passengers with reduced mobility).
Citymax-9 is the first rear-engined model of the Pavlovsk bus factory. Thanks to this constructive solution, the bus has wide aisles between the rows of seats, ample storage space and improved comfort of the driver’s workplace – the noise level is reduced and the space in the cabin is increased.
