Paid parking zones in resorts in Crimea already existed. For example, in the tourist capital of the peninsula – Yalta – this was organized last year, writes the newspaper Kommersant. However, few people knew that the fine for unpaid parking was not officially introduced.
Five years ago, the city council estimated that two-thirds of all parking spaces were illegal. The so-called gray parking attendants collected the payment for them. They took money from vacationers and didn’t issue receipts. And the cost of such a service can reach 500 rubles.
This topic was taken up by the municipality last year. Then official paid parking spaces appeared in Yalta, which are much cheaper than illegal ones. In total, more than 500 parking spaces were organised. They are located both along the roads and in separate zones. And the payment is from 35 to 50 rubles per hour for cars. For trucks a little more expensive – from 70 to 100 rubles.
However, not all car owners found it necessary to pay for a place. In addition, there were no official sanctions for this violation. Now this problem has been solved at the legislative level. For unpaid parking at the resort will come a fine of 1000 rubles.
Violations are fixed using mobile complexes that can recognize license plates. It also specifies that the innovation applies not only to Yalta, but also to other Crimean cities.
