“Information from a number of media about the entry into force of new OSAGO rates as of 1 August does not correspond to reality. The draft Bank of Russia instruction on the extension of the tariff corridor, posted on the Bank of Russia’s website on June 22, will shortly be sent to the Russian Ministry of Justice for registration,” the regulator said in a statement. declaration.
The rates will still be increased, but it is necessary to follow the correct procedure: after the instruction has passed the state registration, it will be posted on the website of the Bank of Russia and, according to the law, it will enter into force 10 days after the official publication.
On June 22, the Bank of Russia proposed to expand the OSAGO base rate corridor for most categories of car owners up and down by 26%.
For private cars, insurers set the basic rate of the “autocitizen” rate for each driver individually in the range of 1646-7535 rubles. For public transport, the tariff corridor will be expanded by 17.8% in both directions.
The regulator explained the need for changes by increasing the cost of spare parts. The parts most affected by accidents have increased in price by 28.7% on average, according to updated PCA spare parts guides. The insurance compensation is calculated on the basis of these folders, the regulator recalls.
