In the third week of July, Lada dealers in Russia sold 2,607 new passenger cars, Avtostat analytical agency reported. This allowed the brand to receive 31.8% of the total volume of the Russian car market.
Experts state that Lada’s share in the Russian market last exceeded 30% in 2007. Then it was 30.1% and fell to 15% in 2014. In the first half of 2022, Lada’s share was 20.8%. But already in the weeks of July there is a sharp increase: in the first week – 27.9%, in the second – 29%.
The increase in market share at AvtoVAZ is attributed to the start of production and sales of simplified versions of Lada Granta cars in the summer.
