The service unit of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Artem (Primorsky Territory) received a message from a local resident about a traffic accident. Near Vokzalnaya Street, the driver of a foreign car collided with a pedestrian and disappeared. Fortunately, he did not require medical attention, but the traffic police went looking for the hidden driver.
The wanted car was found near house 67 on Frunzestraat. A 40-year-old clearly intoxicated man without a driver’s license was behind the wheel. A medical examination confirmed the presence of alcohol in his blood, according to MIA.Media.
The driver offered the inspector of the traffic police a bribe in the amount of 16 thousand rubles. He warned the violator of the responsibility, but he did not listen and put the money in the cap of the traffic inspector, which lay in the back seat of the official car.
As a result, bribes to an official were documented by the police investigation operational group who arrived on the scene.
As a result, two administrative protocols have been drawn up simultaneously against the actions of the offender: under part 2 of Article 12.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “The driving of a vehicle by a driver who has no right to to drive a vehicle” and under part 12 of Article 12.27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Breach of obligations in connection with a traffic accident”.
A criminal case was also initiated under Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – “Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person who is subject to an administrative penalty or has a criminal record.”
It has been established that this person had previously been placed under administrative responsibility for driving under the influence. For this, he was fined 30 thousand rubles and a driver’s license for 1 year and 6 months.
Well, and “icing on the cake” – a criminal case was initiated on the basis of a crime under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 3 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Giving a bribe”.
So far, the malicious violator has been given 15 days of administrative detention.
