The project of the year 1934 was referred to in the documentation as the “Amphibious Flying Tank”. It was about an unusual hovercraft tank. Two aircraft engines with a total capacity of 1450 liters. Of. they had to raise the car to a height of 200-250 mm and accelerate it to 120 km / h.
A 1:4 scale model was built at the Moscow aviation plant, but then funding for the work was cut. Most likely, the military did not support the project, which is why it never got to the construction of a prototype.
Mikhail Kolodochkin has been collecting unusual facts from the history of technology for many years. Did you know, for example, that an all-terrain vehicle was designed in the 1960s that can both fly and swim at GAZ?
