As a sworn Soviet-type person in the Soviet army, I do not understand people who selflessly spit on their past – far and near, as it seems to them, preferring to frown with disdain for provincialism (“soviets”). !”) and finding too many faults with the current authorities.

It is also interesting that, as a rule, the ruthless critics of both the Soviet and the current authorities are the same people. That is, these guys, in principle, do not like power as an institution, but preferably the sweet anarchy for which the nineties were so famous that the “dashing” (well, or “saints!”, Who cares).

However, not so long ago, to the surprise of some of our contemporaries, symbols of the past Soviet era became relevant. They even joke that in the few surviving Soviet artifacts observers see “the remnants of a once powerful, but lost civilization” …

Why did this realization of the Soviet legacy take place?

I think the answer is simple. We homo soveticus, even from a young age, have formed, among other things, cultural and social codes that are immune to knowledge. And when US President Barack Obama, without hesitation, declared a “Cold War 2.0” to Russia and began to apply elements of the cancellation culture that was typical in the midst of that first “cold war” against the USSR, it was literally as if it were. The most mental forts and bastions built by our ancestors in the unforgettable Soviet Union, long rusty propaganda guns creaking open and baffled our long and habitually quoted “Western partners”. , began his unhurried work on the information positions of the enemy.

The ingenious idea of the “Immortal Regiment” in the photo, where the ancestors who passed away long ago stopped with us in a memory and walked the roads of cities familiar to them, connecting generations and filling our hearts with pride. Despite all the skepticism of the notorious Western countries and the late opening of the “second front”, in 1941-1945 he managed to break the back of the Nazi beast in the most difficult conditions.

The ringing of medals in this chest is now combined with the voices of our parents, children and grandchildren.

Queues, famines and gray clothes were forgotten – we began to remember the friendship, mutual assistance and goodwill of the surrounding people, I remember myself, when I was eight years old, my father calmly allowed me to ski in the forest at night. winter.

The return of Soviet brands, in my opinion, is natural and will allow citizens of the older generation to be nostalgic and join the past of the parents of the young: the smell of the Red Moscow perfume, the brutal persecution of the retro car Moskvich and, of course, the Soviet with the indispensable Zhigulevsky, which was presented before, but only in specialized institutions. restaurant menu Volga.

Soviet lemonades were installed on Red Square in the GUM – the famous “soda”, which the Soviet people themselves mixed in special devices standing on the streets, with faceted glasses completely freely placed in them.

I do not think that such a practice of returning to the past, a trip to the living space of parents, will cause rejection among young people.

Recently, I have seen the reopening of numerous district libraries, where everyone can buy books and join many generations in the magical, fantastic world of knowledge, letter by letter recorded on the deliciously scented pages of publications – fresh, crisp and old, cleverly yellowed, as if. from tobacco, from the pages, from the leaves that you plunge into the world of personal experiences.
Social networks do not provide such pleasure, in which the experiences and emotions of others pour freely, drowning out our own: we stop hearing about ourselves. Here in the library, where silence is always necessary, you are alone with yourself and a book.

Forgotten but what a familiar feeling isn’t it?

And even the Komsomol gods and party bosses revived from the past do not look so powerful and scary – in comparison, everything is known.
And we have something to compare, which means there is freedom of choice.
