Among cars equipped with CVTs, units installed on crossovers from Honda, Subaru, Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi demonstrate high reliability. In this regard reports “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” with reference to Valery Anyufyev, head of the wheeled equipment evaluation department of the Alfa-Leasing group of companies.
“The Honda BRJA, which has been installed on the CR-V crossover since 2017, is rightfully considered one of the most reliable CVTs. This unit is an improved version of the previous model and is extremely reliable,” Anyufyev gave an example.
According to him, the Subaru TR580 CVTs, known as Lineartronic, are also extremely reliable. These transmissions are found in the Subaru Forester, Impreza and XV. In Toyota, the K112 shifter manufactured by Aisin, which was installed in the RAV4 until 2019, shows high survivability. Among the reliable ones are the Nissan Murano with the Jatco JF010E CVT and the Mitsubishi Outlander with the Jatco JF011E CVT.
