The Cannon P05 has a four-door, five-seat cabin, which is united in steel stamped parts up to the B-pillar with the Tank 500 SUV produced since 2021 (remember that the Tank brand belongs to the GWM group). A promising pickup truck is made on the platform of the same “five hundred” – in a modification with elongated spars. All suspensions of this car are spring-loaded, the front is of an independent type, the rear is dependent, with a continuous shaft.

According to unofficial data, the total length, width and height of the Cannon P05 are 5465, 1992 and 1960 mm respectively, the wheelbase is 3350 mm. The public premiere of the pickup will take place before the end of 2022, in the standard version it will be offered with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine with an output of 224 hp. It will work in conjunction with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

As evidenced by Rospatent’s database, Cannon P05 was registered in Russia in two versions – standard and with an off-road body kit.

Registration of security documents does not necessarily mean that the Cannon P05 is offered in the Russian Federation. Most likely, we are talking about simple legal formalities, with car manufacturers patenting the appearance of their cars in all major markets to ensure the protection of their intellectual rights.

Currently, GWM supplies the Russian Federation with two models of pickups – Wingle 7 and Poer, the first costs from 2,999,000 rubles, Poer – from 3,999,000 rubles.
