AvtoVAZ will resume production of station wagons and vans Lada Largus at the end of next week, the company’s press service officially announced on July 20.

It is indicated that the car giant has already started welding and painting the bodies of this family, ready-to-use commercial vehicles will roll off the assembly line in Togliatti in a few days.

However, the AvtoVAZ press service emphasized that it is far from debugging the rhythmic production of Largus – so far we are only talking about the production of a limited batch of 1800 units due to the stock of scarce parts in the warehouse.

In other words, this volume of Lada Largus will be made in the previous trim levels from before the crisis.

Currently, AVTOVAZ rhythmically produces only the Granta family and Niva Legend SUVs, they have been “revived” in simplified “anti-sanction” versions – with an engine certified for the Euro-2 eco-class (instead of Euro-5) , without ABS, airbags and SOS complex ERA-GLONASS.

The timing of the arrival of a new batch of Largus in the dealer network will be announced separately. In the future, AVTOVAZ promises to resume regular production of the model.

The last time Larguses was made at AvtoVAZ at the end of April – then they also made a small batch after a long hiatus that started in late February.

AvtoVAZ faces an acute shortage of critical foreign components after Western countries tightened anti-Russian sanctions.
