Removing/installing the battery on many vehicles requires two keys, for example “10” and “13”.
When performing manipulations, there is a high probability that the key will fall into the entrails of the engine compartment. It’s hard to get it, especially with protection installed from below.
Tying the key to the hand or to the body elements every time is cumbersome and inconvenient. I tied the two keys together with a half meter length of sturdy rope. Now if one or even two keys fall into the engine compartment, they are easy to grab by the rope. And in the toolbox it is easy to find a set of keys to remove the battery: there is rope wrapped around the keys.
