On July 18, Kia premiered an updated version of the compact crossover Xceed. The exterior of the car was refreshed, the technology was improved and the GT Line option was added to the range.

The model received new bumper groups, different headlights and lanterns.
The front bumper has become more expressive and the mesh in the radiator grille and air intake now consists of enlarged cells. The LED headlights have been reconfigured and graphically. There are no more matte gray plastic inserts in the bumpers – they have given way to shiny black ones. In the “stern” they introduced an imitation of a diffuser and lights with a new pattern.
Inside is the latest version of the Kia Connect telematics service, which has added the ability to pre-upload data about the planned route to the car’s navigation system remotely from a smartphone. Type C USB ports are installed for passengers and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel with Full HD image quality is offered as an option. The media system screen is, as before, 8 inches in the standard version and 10.25 inches in the expensive one.
With restyling, the GT Line version appeared in the Kia Xceed range, implying features in a sporty style. On the outside, these include silver-colored air intake surrounds, an original grille with thin trim, 18-inch wheels, pixel art taillights and a body-colored diffuser.
The interior features a sports steering wheel with a truncated edge, black ceiling, front seats with enhanced lateral support, perforated leather-trimmed gear lever, aluminum pedal pads and left footrest, and embroidered GT logo on the seatbacks.
The “first” Kia XCeed with a 120 hp 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine has a 48-volt starter alternator. Presented in Russia, 1.5-liter gasoline engines (power – 150 hp, torque – 253 Nm) and 1.6 liter (200 hp, 265 Nm), as well as an automatic transmission with friction transmission, have not undergone any change. The range includes a 1.6-litre turbo diesel with starter generator (136 hp) and a plug-in hybrid (combining a 1.6-litre petrol engine with an electric motor, a 6-speed manual transmission and a lithium-ion battery). , total power – 141 hp).
The updated Kia XCeed will be available in EU countries from September 2022. As for Russia, there is no information yet.
Recall that the Xceed has been in production since 2019, it is a compact five-door crossover based on the popular Ceed model. The wheelbase of the Xceed is exactly the same as that of a conventional hatchback – 2650 mm. But there are almost no common body panels between the two models – they are united only in terms of the front doors and part of the internal power elements, everything else is original to Xceed. Overall length Xceed – 4395 mm.
An advantage over the regular Ceed is also the 44 mm increased ground clearance: 172 mm on regular 16-inch wheels and 184 mm on optional 18-inch wheels.
In Russia, Xceed has been on sale since 2020 – for our market it was made at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. Production was halted in May 2022 due to anti-Russian sanctions and supply chain disruption.
