Tyler Green, 22, of New Jersey, attended a car rally on March 19 at midnight on Soho Street, New York, USA. He turned his “donuts” just a few feet from those in attendance. But so did everyone.
At one point (on display), 23-year-old Christopher Brito rushes to the middle of the road to try and capture spectacular footage of Green’s drifting. But he stumbles and falls to the ground right in front of the car…
After the crash, the public came to his aid. The man was taken to Bellevue hospital with serious injuries and the driver fled.
Green later voluntarily turned himself in and was charged with several charges, including dangerous driving, hitting a person and leaving the scene of an accident.
Speaking to CBS News, the victim’s uncle said he was conscious when he was taken to hospital, but his skulls and arms were broken. He has undergone several surgeries.
“I hope these kids don’t play with their lives like that anymore, because at first it seems fun with all those cars, but they have to think about their lives. I almost lost my cousin,” said Charles.
People living near the accident site said it was the second time in a month that moving cars woke them up in the middle of the night.
