Lawmakers have proposed a bill that would revoke a driver’s license for up to three months for repeated illegal use of a “disabled person” identification card in a car. He writes that the initiative is intended to be approved by the government RIA News.

New amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses provide for citizens to be fined 10 thousand rubles, as well as deprivation of the right to drive for one to three months and confiscation of the subject of the crime.

The draft also mentions a fine of up to 40 thousand rubles for officials responsible for the operation of vehicles if the vehicle is seized, and a fine of up to one million rubles for legal entities if the vehicle is seized.

The proposed addition to the law provides for a fine for placing a “disabled person” identification plate without proper authorization. Citizens will face a fine of 5 thousand rubles, officials – 20 thousand rubles, and legal entities – 500 thousand rubles with possible confiscation of the subject of the crime.

In the explanatory note of the bill, it is stated that there is an increase in cases of illegal use of the “disabled” sign in free parking lots, which prevents disabled people from accessing social and transportation facilities.
