In Nizhnevartovsk, doctors saved the life of a 40-year-old man who inhaled carbon monoxide while working in the garage. In this respect reported Ministry of Health of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug

“The cause of the serious condition was carbon monoxide poisoning. Within the first 24 hours, the patient developed multiple organ failure (serious impairment in the functioning of several organs). The patient’s condition was also complicated by aspiration pneumonia and sepsis. The possible risk of a negative outcome exceeded 90%,” the press service said.

The patient remained on a ventilator for almost a month and received kidney replacement therapy. He regained consciousness only three weeks later.

According to him, he felt seriously uncomfortable while working in the garage and could not leave the garage. The man also managed to call his friends, who called doctors.
