Division of the German concern Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG sent A “charged” version of the E-Class sedan and station wagon with a hybrid power plant based on an inline-six gasoline engine.
In the new Mercedes-AMG E 53, the power of the gasoline engine has been increased compared to the previous 429 hp. The gasoline turbo engine with up to 443 hp is supported by a 161 hp electric motor, allowing the power plant to produce a total power of 577 hp. and a torque of 750 Nm.
A sports sedan accelerates to “hundreds” in 3.8 seconds, while a heavier station wagon takes 0.1 seconds more to meet this standard. The speed of the car is electronically limited to 250 km/h, but with the optional AMG Driver’s Package, the car can reach a maximum speed of 280 km/h.
