In the national project ‘Safe High-Quality Roads’, attention is not only paid to bringing rural roads back to normal, but also to the modernization of public transport. Therefore, 21 urban agglomerations will receive 1,161 units in 2022-2024. new public transport.

934 buses, 200 trolleybuses and 27 trams are delivered to Novosibirsk, Tula, Omsk, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Cheboksary, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Sochi, Kursk, Orenburg, Petrozavodsk, Ufa, Bryansk, Astrakhan, Ulan-Ude, Saratov, Tomsk, Izhevsk, Vladivostok and Ryazan urban agglomerations.

Previously, the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management considered applications from 44 regions and assessed the level of public transport development therein. Based on the results, a list has been compiled with regions where the equipment is renewed.

The transport arriving in the cities under the national project is well equipped for comfortable and safe passenger transport.

The needs of people with reduced mobility have been taken into account when designing the models: the rolling stock has a low floor and there are folding ramps. All transport arriving in the regions is environmentally friendly.

As part of the national “Safe High-Quality Roads” project, 1,131 vehicles have already been transferred to the regions in 2020-2021. new buses, trolleybuses and trams.
