The Bugatti Bolide tracked hypercar was equipped with record-breaking brakes. In this respect he is writing Engine1.
Developers from Brembo were responsible for the braking system of the new product. The efficiency of the mechanism has been compared to installations in Formula 1 cars and racing sports prototypes.
The Bugatti Bolide’s front brakes include two eight-piston monoblock calipers. Each features four high-performance 25mm pads and carbon rims. These are the largest carbon ceramic brakes ever made. There are two six-piston monobloc calipers at the rear, identical to those at the front. Bolide brake discs weigh 3.1 kg each when assembled. Brembo also developed special master cylinders and brake fluid for the system.
Bugatti Bolide is also equipped with a fire extinguishing system, six-point seat belts, a head and neck protection system and electronic driver assistants.
The hypercar, which will be released in 40 copies, was sold for 4 million Euros and is already sold out. Customers will start receiving them this year.
