Turkish company Martur is curtailing Russian production, Ulyanovsk region governor Alexei Russkikh said. At its plant in Ulyanovsk, this company produced seats for the Renault car line, which were assembled at AVTOVAZ until May this year. Recall that this is the Logan sedan, the Sandero hatchback and its elevated version of the Sandero Cross.
After the departure of Renault, AVTOVAZ retained licenses for the production of these cars (already under the Lada brand), but the resumption of assembly is complicated by the lack of components. Companies that can supply components to the assembly line, in turn, find themselves in a situation where there is no demand for their products.

The head of the region noted that there were 19 enterprises in the Ulyanovsk region that supplied products to the AVTOVAZ conveyor, and expressed concern about the prospects for these factories and their personnel.
According to the Russians, AvtoVAZ president Maxim Sokolov will come to the Ulyanovsk region next week for consultations. And the regional government has already sent a delegation to the AVTOVAZ conference with suppliers.
