The unique silver M1 supercar, one of BMW’s rarest and most famous models, will be offered for sale at Sotheby’s Miami auction, with bidding starting on March 1. In this respect says on the auction house’s website.

The lot description states that the car’s entire history has been carefully documented. A total of 450 cars of this model were assembled, of which only 399 were approved for use on public roads. The rest are designed solely for prestigious endurance races and the BMW Monocup.

Only three of the road cars were painted silver from the factory. At the same time, the shade of the car to be auctioned is called Polaris and is considered unique. It was also the first model developed by the M division.

The total mileage of the car is just over 17 thousand km. They expect to receive $750-950 thousand from the party.

In January, at an online auction, one of the BMW M1s was sold for a much lower price – 552 thousand dollars. The mileage of the car was also low, but one of the owners changed the body design and installed modern equipment on the car.
