Restoration of rare ZIL bus completed in Moscow

The restoration of the ZIL-127 intercity bus has been completed in Moscow, its presentation will be held at VDNKh in the Special Purpose Garage (GON) Museum. In this respect reports Telegram channel “Retrobus: direct injection”.

ZIL-127 buses were produced in Moscow from 1955 to 1961, a total of 851 vehicles were collected. They were used on intercity routes. The cabin has 32 soft seats for passengers. YaAZ diesel engine with a displacement of seven liters and a power of 180 hp. mounted at the rear. The transmission is a four-speed manual. The bus covering is made of aluminum sheets.

As of 2024, four examples are known to have survived. One of the particularly operational ZIL-127s was preserved in Tallinn.

It was previously known that there was a passenger bus in Chelyabinsk burned on the territory of the park.
