The description claims that this is a “catch-up car”, in closed documents it had the name “escort car”, and unofficially it was called “overtake car” or “crazy”. It was a more powerful version of the base car, it was intended for the KGB.
The car had a modified standard GAZ-24-10 body, while the suspension was strengthened, a power steering was installed, a different gearbox and a more powerful engine (V8, 5.5 l, 195 hp). It was probably changed to a simpler engine during the restoration.
The seats of this car are upholstered with high-quality velvet material. Assembly was done by hand.
For a beige Volga with a 2.5 liter engine (100 hp) and a manual gearbox, they ask for 5.9 million rubles. This is a restored reference copy, the announcement says. The car has had one owner, the stated mileage is 5 km.
