Some motorists who bought Chinese cars in Russia will soon face a shortage of parts; service stations will have to use their own machines to solve this problem. This is stated in a study of the Fit Service car service network (available from socialbites.ca).

“According to our expectations, the number of Chinese brands in the Russian automobile market will increase even more in 2024. Some will enter our market without opening their own dealership. Therefore, vehicle owners will be left alone with their cars without the support of official representations,” notes Alexander Gruzdev, head of Gruzdev-Analyze.

According to the expert, in order to be able to select spare parts for such machines, independent services will need to install lathes, welding machines and include a lathe and a welding machine in the staff desk.

As Tatyana Ovchinnikova, director of Fit Service’s international network of car service centers, says, today there is a difficult situation with access to operating instructions and spare parts catalogs for newer and rarer Chinese cars on the market. Often, car service centers have to choose a spare part “by sample” in specialized stores. Therefore, a large amount of information regarding Chinese brands needs to be collected, processed, translated and accumulated.
