The Kaliningrad Avtotor plant announced the creation of a new car brand, Amberauto, under which a series of electric vehicles will be produced. This was reported in the publication Avtotor, picked up by socialbites.ca.
“In 2024, Avtotor plans to launch a series of electric vehicles on a technologically independent Russian platform under the Amberauto brand. “The product line is based on two-seat and four-seat compact electric vehicles, created based on our own developments and licensed engineering solutions,” he said.
The company announced that the technological developments for these electric vehicles are the intellectual property of Avtotor. The Amberauto brand is also planned to be used in many electric vehicles produced in cooperation with various technology partners.
Avtotor announced that the name of the new brand combines two components of the economy of the Kaliningrad region – amber (English amber) and automobile production.
