Sales of Lada Vesta, which does not have airbags, have started in Russia. In this respect reports “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, referring to the representative of one of the dealer centers of the brand. The cost of such a machine is 1.46 million rubles.
As of December 11, 2023, AvtoVAZ began producing Vesta cars without airbags due to parts shortages. This workaround is necessary to eliminate conveyor downtime and avoid creating a buildup of shortages within the facility. The installation of this option on Lada cars will continue in 2024.
Vesta cars in the minimum configuration without airbags are equipped with gasoline engines with a capacity of 106 hp. and manual transmission.
Also AvtoVAZ restarted equip Lada Granta cars with central locking. Due to component shortages, this option was removed from all model trim levels in February 2023.
