Branded gasoline differs from regular gasoline in the presence of detergent additives. However, its effectiveness is low. In this respect reports “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, citing Alexey Ruzanov, technical director of the international network of car service centers Fit Service.
“The branded gasoline available at many gas stations is actually a little cleaner and a little more efficient. Essentially this is the same regular fuel just with a packet of detergent additives. But most of the time this is a 3-5% improvement compared to regular fuel, so the average car enthusiast will notice almost no change. Sometimes it is possible for the placebo effect to kick in when drivers notice a dramatic improvement in engine performance,” Ruzanov said.
According to the expert, less deposits will form in the engine if you use only branded gasoline. But other factors will also affect this: how often the oil is changed, its quality and driving style. Therefore, it is not at all necessary that the condition of the power unit will be affected by branded gasoline.
It happened before that knownThat Roskachestvo will conduct a study on automobile fuel at Russian gas stations. Experts will check the fuel’s octane rating, sulfur content, fractional composition and other important parameters. The study will help identify sellers of low-quality fuel.
