Ford Motor Company decided to reduce production of the F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck due to decreased demand. This is stated in Press release companies.
“Ford is reducing production of the F-150 Lightning, the best-selling electric pickup truck in the United States, to achieve the optimal balance between production, sales growth and profitability,” the automaker said.
The company added that it will create nearly 900 new jobs and add a third team at the company’s Michigan assembly plant to increase production of the Bronco and Bronco Raptor SUVs, as well as the new Ranger and Ranger Raptor pickups.
