Russia is interested in developing cooperation with Iran in the auto parts industry, Denis Manturov, head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, told TASS.
The minister noted that today this country produces about a million cars of its own, of fairly high quality, but there is also an auto parts industry, so Russia is interested in cooperation.
The Islamic Republic is going to barter in Russia for raw materials needed in the metallurgical and mining industries. The country needs zinc, aluminum, lead and steel and can supply auto parts and gas turbines in return.
The parties have already agreed on the supply of parts or the repair of turbines used in Russian power plants. In addition, options for barter transactions for a number of goods and commodities are worked out.
Recall that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place from June 15 to 18.
