Obviously, moving without engine oil is absolutely impossible. Driving without coolant is also impossible – you will not drive a mile, but you will ruin the engine.

But with some disruptions, it is still possible to get to your destination on your own.

Engine: mechanics and electrics

With almost all mechanical failures outside the engine, driving is dangerous. The exception is the power unit struts that begin to collapse, which are always a “non-flying” design. Metal can rumble on metal, but the bike won’t fall on the road – although its displacement sometimes allows it to pop a CV-joint, for example.

Critical signals in the instrument panel related to the engine are the ignition of the oil pressure warning light and a signal device, or a pointer indicating an excessively high engine temperature. They may indicate insufficient engine oil or coolant levels.

You can’t drive without oil, you should at least add an old KAMAZ bought from the driver. And in the cooling system in the warm season you can add water.

When it stops turning off clutch, then you can get to the mechanics by putting the car into first gear with the engine off and starting it with the starter. Once you’ve picked up the engine speed and rpm, you can try to get there and gradually reach higher gears. And if the clutch started to slip, you have to drive slowly, in lower gears and almost without pressing the accelerator pedal. Before climbing, it is desirable to accelerate, if possible.

We do not recommend driving with a squeak in the gearbox. The axles can jam at any time and this will cause the drive wheels to lock, which is dangerous at speed.
