A military court in Omsk sentenced a 46-year-old man to 15 years in a maximum security colony for a series of arson attacks and an attempt to disable a substation supplying power to homes, industrial facilities and a tuberculosis dispensary. According to the Regional FSB Directorate, the man admitted that he acted with the aim of intimidating the population of the Omsk region and influencing the authorities’ decision to terminate the SVO. Omsk was sentenced to 15 years in prison under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on terrorist acts.
