It is planned to simplify the text of traffic rules in Russia. In this respect reported Deputy Chairman of the Commission on interaction with TASS, Public Chamber (PC) of the Russian Federation on Security and POC Alexander Kholodov.
Yesterday Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed The government and public administration must prepare proposals for improving traffic rules by April 1 of next year. According to Kholodov, the recommendations of experts and social activists have been lumped in practice and they have nothing to do with serious changes such as violations of international standards or the introduction of new road signs.
“The main points of the rules will remain the same, but rewriting the document in simple, understandable language, eliminating existing errors – this is the absolutely correct and necessary task,” Kholodov said.
As an example, he cited a rule allowing a car to be parked on a bridge with at least three lanes of traffic.
You have to write “impossible” and that’s it. The point is that the rules need to be simplified, even if they impose some restrictions on drivers. <…> If you want to learn the rules of riding a moped, you should now read one passage from one chapter and another from another. Everything is in different sections and difficult to perceive. Therefore, there is a demand to simplify and structure the document,” said Kholodov.
