The Industrial Development Fund (IDF) will receive another 30 billion rubles this year, said Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov in an interview with RBC TV.

It is clear to everyone that we will live in a different world and a lot will have to change in this world.

When the main auto companies came to Russia, when organizing production, they took global auto parts suppliers as suppliers, but not Russian manufacturers. And today we have to revive the second layer of collaboration, and for this we will have to spend both time and money to restore these competencies.

To guarantee a certain pace, you need to invest cheap money for a long time.

“I have raised the issue for a long time and the last meeting with colleagues, especially with motorists, suggests that it is advisable to increase the fund, expand the conditions for granting these loans,” he said.

At the beginning of the year, it was planned to allocate 71 billion rubles, now 48 billion rubles have already been contracted, and another 23 billion rubles is on the way. But if ‘we take a risk and increase the fund several times, it will only benefit’.

Money is a necessary condition, but not sufficient. You also need to have the right strategy for spending this money, Borisov noted.

“You can’t force people to drive the old Zhiguli. People will force the industry to produce the products they are waiting for. Simplification is a temporary measure that should ensure the loading of companies. Otherwise we would have to create some social problems,” he said.
