Kaluga Automobile Plant PSMA Rus LLC will resume work on December 18. In this respect reports RIA Novosti, citing the governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha.
“We met with the management of the PSMA company. They have also gone through a difficult path to retool and restructure their company, and on the 18th, that is, next Monday, the facility will be operational,” said Shapsha.
What cars the former plant of PSMA Rus LLC will produce and their volume was not reported. Nothing is yet known about the volume of investment in the business.
The automobile factory PSMA Rus LLC has been idle since April 2022. The company produced cars in a full cycle. Minivans, compact vans and commercial vehicles (including those destined for the European market) from Peugeot, Opel and Citroen have rolled off the assembly line. The Mitsubishi company (30% in a joint venture with Stellantis) assembled the Outlander and Pajero Sport SUVs at the enterprise’s facilities.
