According to the results of the 10 months of 2023, Russians spent 7 trillion 257 billion rubles on the purchase of passenger cars. This is 57% more than January-October last year. In this respect reports analytical agency “Avtostat”.
It is stated that one third of this amount (2 trillion 416 billion rubles) went to new cars. Accordingly, the remaining two-thirds is the money spent on second-hand cars (4 trillion 841 billion rubles).

According to statistics, the average price of a car in Russia in September was 3 million rubles, in August 3.1 million rubles and in July 2.9 million rubles. According to analysts from the Autostat agency, the decrease in the figure is not due to a decrease in the cost of cars on the market, but to an increase in the share of budget models that can be purchased.
The average price of a car in 2022 was 2.3 million rubles.
