A number of large companies in the Samara region, which are (or were) the so-called subcontractors of AVTOVAZ – that is, manufacturers supplying products to the car giant’s assembly line – expressed their willingness to deal with the resumption of car production and to make up for the shortage. to absorb imported parts. First of all, we are talking about ensuring the mounting of the “anti-crisis” Lada Granta, but other models from the factory are also being considered.

Notably, on June 1, the TPV Rus plant in Syzran launched production of seat frames for Grants, and according to Samara Review, complete sets of seats should have been shipped to AVTOVAZ by now. The rescued company staff will also be enough to seat the Niva Legend assembly, there is interest in other AVTOVAZ projects, the source writes.

According to some reports, the depth of subsidy localization before the crisis was about 52.5%, but in the near future this figure will increase significantly

In turn, the company SED (which, like TPV Rus, is part of the Krista group) is ready to supply the entire Lada line with its plastic products for outdoor and indoor use, as well as galvanized products.

Tarasov Plant (ZiT) has announced that it is ready to ship starters and alternators for Niva Legend, Niva Travel and Granta, as well as alternators with a current output of 90A for the Largus model, to AvtoVAZ. In addition, in February, the company managed to acquire Italian equipment for the production of generators with a current output of up to 150A and up to 200A. Preparations for the production of the 110A generator are also in full swing, but will take another six months.

At the moment ZiT produces starters and alternators for the secondary market, but can quickly reorient deliveries to the conveyor belt in Togliatti. Similar work is underway with GAZ and companies in Kaluga. It is claimed that the plant will be able to cover 90% of Russia’s demand for car tractor generators in the future. In addition, the Samara Electromechanical Plant, which currently produces window cleaning tanks, indicators, sensors and lighting products, has agreed to undertake import substitution projects.

  • In early May, the governor of the Samara region, Dmitry Azarov, announced that the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade were involved in the development of measures in support of AVTOVAZ.
  • “Behind the wheel” can be read in Odnoklassniki.
