14% of respondents admitted that they could only buy a car on credit at current prices, and 7% admitted that they could buy a new car if they sold the old one.
“We usually do this: We save money for a few years, sell our car, and add to what we had set aside. This is enough for a newer car. “We change cars about every five years,” said the participant.
The remaining 2% of survey respondents reported saving their paychecks for a new car.
